Links on front page of website

Problem

Currently there is no advertisement of data.inasafe.org and realtime.inasafe.org

Solution

• Add link to slide show with appropriate image
• Create a link section on the front page - potentially Map, Resources, Realtime

Do you mean to create new main menu items on the front page or what do you mean by link section?

I don't understand the "Map" - But adding all 3 items assuming Map pointing to Usermap(?), Resources pointing to data.inasafe.org and Realtime pointing to realtime.inasafe.org to the main menu would probably make it a bit crowdy .. I think we can possibly add 2 more main menu links ..

The slideshow link to the Usermap is already there .. Is it meant to also have slideshow links to Resources and Realtime?

Sorry for the delay,
Yes it would be great to have a Link or drop down menu that shows all these associated websites.
I don't think the pictures are enough - they are great in promoting but it would be good to have a concrete link.

We will have different site for user and event map? From the last
conversation, I think we all agree that we will have them both on the same
map..

different domains mapped to the same IP? or if we go to events.inasafe.org it will turn off the user layer and will turn off the event layer if we go to users.inasafe.org?

@akbargumbira I was thinking that we could just do both on the same site, showing both users and events to start with. I would prefer not to have domain specific logic in the app as I would like to keep it generic. In the links page we could actually like to a view like this:

Events -> http://events.inasafe.org?layer=events
Users -> http://events.inasafe.org?layer=users

And then do some checking to see what the layer var contains.
