Problem

We need to deploy a reduced version of the user training manual to inasafe.org.

Proposed solution

  • @Erve1879 To change the licensing in the training manual from CCbSA to CCbyA
  • @vanpuk and @AIFDR/documentation-writers to provide a list of modules that need to be included in the InaSAFE curriculum
  • @Erve1879 and @mach0 to work together to extract the desired modeles and incorporate into inasafe-doc in a semi-automatic way if possible (so that we can occasionally repeat the process)
  • @Erve1879 and @macho work together to make a pdf generator for just the required modules
  • @vanpuk to work with @Erve1879 to as far as possible make the pdf look consistent with other InaSAFE branded products.
  • @macho put mechanisms in place for occassional syncing of docs from QGIS.org to InaSAFE (to incorporate any improvements made upstream).
  • @AIFDR/documentation-writers to look into preparing a localised dataset for use with the translated training resources.

Expected outcome

We should have documentation with an acceptable license for use in universities which is current and relevant to the tasks carried out by disaster managers and the HOT training team.
