AutoPause & Monitor

Hi,
Are AutoPause & Monitor incompatible ?
Every time Java process is paused, monitor wake it up.

External (to the container) monitoring? Yes it's "incompatible" since all it knows is to reach out to the server port.

@itzg It's possible technicaly to detect that server is in pause state (I remenber that there is a temp file when the server is in pause) and don't call rcon request that wake up server ?
I know it's not the case now, I just want to know if it's possible, like this I will try to dev it myself.

Yes it is technically possible, but design wise I don't like the idea of volume mounting one or many Minecraft data volumes and dipping into the abstraction of that pause file. Feel free to fork and build your own monitor image.

You are right. Don't like too, but it's sad to do a choice like this :(

I'd say don't use auto pause especially if doing 24/7 monitoring. With modern Linux kernels I'm skeptical it provides much benefit. You're probably using just as much energy running Prometheus all the time.
