Hi there!

I'm filing an issue against ksp-fullscreenfix because I have a problem related to my use of it, I can't see any other way to message a user on GitHub, and it's not outside the realm of possibility that you already know the solution to this problem. Here goes...

The problem: I applied the ksp-fullscreenfix patch to allow myself to record Kerbal Space Program using ShadowPlay. This worked wonderfully. However, since applying my patch my mouse cursor is now gigantic, and ShadowPlay's recordings place the mouse cursor in a different position in the video than they were on my display.

What I think is going on: What I think is happening is that "fullscreen exclusive" mode is interacting badly with Windows 10 UI scaling for my UHD display. KSP is running at a resolution of 1280x720, but the scaling is causing the mouse cursor to be drawn at a much larger size than it necessary. Additionally, the mouse cursor is probably being drawn by the GPU itself in some way that interacts poorly with ShadowPlay. So, the scaled UI ends up putting the cursor at the right position in the display and at the wrong position in the ShadowPlay video output.

What I've tried so far:

  1. I've tried changing Windows Compatibility settings for KSP.exe, checking the box for "Disable display scaling on high DPI displays ". No effect.
  2. I've tried changing the display resolution in KSP to run the game at 2160p. This results in the cursor being drawn at the right size. (Really, it's drawn using the same number of pixels as before, but it's the right number of pixels for this resolution.) ShadowPlay's video still show the cursor at an incorrect position on the screen.

Any thoughts?

Thank you for reading! I appreciate your input on this. :-)
