Zooming lose place in file on Mac

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Open file
2. Navigate to someplace for example in middle of text
3. Zoom in or out

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Change of font size, but no change in row location. When zooming though, the 
scrolled position 
does not adjust properly; one loses the spot.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Version 1.4 (07f4788) On 10.5.6

Please provide any additional information below.
A possible to fix would be to take note of the place in the file which is in 
the top row shown, and 
when zooming adjust scrolled location to the same row of text.
