The process for converting and building the extension for Safari doesn't look too convoluted, but Apple does charge $99 a year for listing free apps on the App Store.
In my opinion it'd be good to wait and see how much demand there is for a Safari version, but this is here as a placeholder for others that might want one and be inclined to file an issue.
