Describe the bug
Using
507f3ee
I tried to boot auto-selected pmg3dt from rom
1998-08-12\ -\ 78FDB784\ -\ PowerMac\ G3\ Minitower\ (beige\ 266MHz)\ -\ 8.0-10.2.8\ -\ 128-768M.ROM
using universal 9.2.2 image as cdr_img and blank 100mb file as hdd.
Notably on big-endian Linux (Bonslack ppc32 -current)
But machine after making good chime and showing default 640*480 window seemingly hanged
I looked into log and noticed:
( 24.603s) atapicdrom.cpp:341 ERR| . AtapiCdrom@0: unsupported ATAPI command 0xAD ( 24.630s) atapicdrom.cpp:341 ERR| . AtapiCdrom@0: unsupported ATAPI command 0x55
( 25.005s) swim3.cpp:244 ERR| SWIM3: command Motor_On_Off addr=0x2, value=1; no drive selected yet ( 50.092s) dbdma.cpp:162 ERR| mesh: Invalid key 0 in LOAD_QUAD
( 78.260s) atapibasedevice.cpp:218 ERR| . AtapiCdrom@0: unsupported command 0xEC
Might be known limitation at this time ....
To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
- clone this repo and build on big-endian ppc32 Linux host
- get universal 9.2.2 mac os installer as isofile
- try to boot pmg3t machine with this iso as cdr_img
- See error (hang?)
Expected behavior
Installer boots as on qemu
