I am running grottserver 2.7.8 in a Docker container on my Unraid server. I have been running it previously on a Synology NAS> Alle has functioned flawless for years, now i want to start using api calls but api calls fail because al invertid's i enter seem invalid. Entering http://:5782/inverter in my browser gives me {}.

The startup log reads:

Hi, from the picture you sent it seems grott is working. But for grottserver and API to work, grott should be configure to output it's data, instead of Growatt's servers to grott server.

So at the INI file, you need to change under section [growatt] the IP and port that your grottserver is working.

Perhaps if you can post your ini file it will help.

The only lines activated in my grott.ini are:

[Growatt] 
# Ip address and port of Growatt server (specify only if IP has changed)

ip = localhost
port = 5781

But since i use docker varaibles, i should probably alter these variables:

ggrowattport: 5279
ggrowattip: 47.91.67.66

because these are still pointing to the China Growatt server. I would like to accomplish both: use the local grottserver AND forward to the chinese server.growatt.com (47.91.67.66), can that be done?

yep but i am unsure if it works in version 2.7*. It indeed works on alpha 3.* branch. Perhaps it worth it you give a look here #613

Got it working, http://:5782/inverter gave me info, but forwarding to my mqtt server somehow stopped so i reverted for now to using just Grott.
Is there a 3.0.0. docker container available already?

great! yep, #613 (comment) Freekers put it one together, but i haven't tested it myself. Worth trying !
