Steps

Optional first step - extract into a list (to see what we deleted)(with a condition?)
remove from text variable as a cleaning step

longer term: figuring out what to do with emojis, should they become words/tokens like sad_emoji, upside_down_face_emoji etc.?

went with a function to replace with snakecase and emoji tag.
