Need a way to validate token authenticity

Is there a way you can hit the API and see if you token is valid? I'm using an app that uses a bunch of pivotal tokens and I want to validate that they are valid tokens. I'm currently just using PivotalTracker::Project.all and rescuing the 401 if the token is invalid, but that's really hacky. Is there a way you already do it because I can't seem to find it. Thanks.
