Integrating jupyterlite

Hi,

Using this project in jupyterlite seems to render the repo/notebooks readonly and we can't launch a new notebook. Any thoughts on how to fix this issue? https://knc6.github.io/slmat/

It looks like this is the same issue as the one reported in JupyterLab jupyterlab/jupyterlab#15629?

Should we close this issue in favor of jupyterlab/jupyterlab#15629, since the fix would have to land in JupyterLab?
