Cannot navigate apps in GlassLauncher

I cannot seem to get any inputs/navigation to work once I have launched an app in GlassLauncher. I am running XE 18.3 currently. Is there something I'm doing wrong and/or any other way to navigate in the app?

Unfortunately this has been an issue since XE16, and has nothing to do with GlassLauncher itself. You can navigate using ADB shell input commands but I understand that is less than desirable.

It used to be the Glass OS would send key events to apps when the user swiped on the touchpad. Example of handling those:

But now it doesn't. Now you have to handle onGenericMotionEvent yourself, like this:

So any apps written for older versions of Glass that sent keycodes will act like the controls are broken now until their source code is fixed and they are recompiled as new versions.

To expand on that, apps that weren't written specifically for Glass won't have the those motion events handled. I think this was intentional, in order to discourage the use of non-Glass apps.

I've written Xposed modules to forward those motion events, but it's too sloppy to release; plus I'd have to explain how I got Xposed working in the first place. In addition, with Glass already running KitKat, I anticipate it to be running Android L by this time next year, breaking Xposed anyway (at least until it is updated for ART).
