• If so, is there a flag to run with karlsend after clearing the datadir2 file?

A: No, it's not

Q: If so, is there a flag to run with karlsend after clearing the datadir2 file?
A: There is no feature like this right now. People remove that folder and do resync, somes gonna do copy-paste from snapshots. Right now, the sync time is quite fast due to blockchain size. < 5 hours in my experiment.
