Add an image credit line in banner

Might it be possible to add an option for an attribution line in banner images, similar to this example? I'd like to be able to give image credit to organizations/Unsplash photographers adjacent to their photos. If it's not possible, any ideas/best practices for doing this in an unobtrusive way that doesn't require altering the image itself? Thanks for considering.
