I can improve the empty-state UI for the doubt feed and search results by designing cleaner and more engaging layouts with proper spacing, user-friendly guidance text, and meaningful CTA elements such as “Post a Doubt”.

Additionally, I can ensure the empty-state components remain responsive, visually consistent, and aligned with the overall UI/UX design of the platform.

I went through this issue in detail and I’d like to take it up under GSSoC’26 if it is still available.

My understanding
Currently, when there are no doubts or no search results, the UI shows an empty screen without meaningful feedback. This creates confusion for users, especially first-time visitors, as there is no guidance on what to do next.

Proposed solution
I plan to improve the empty states for both:

Doubt feed (no doubts available)
Search results (no matches found)
Implementation approach
Create reusable EmptyState component for consistency
Add meaningful illustrations/icons with proper spacing
Add clear guidance text (context-aware messages)
Include CTA actions like “Post a Doubt” / “Ask a Question”
Ensure responsiveness across mobile + desktop
Keep design aligned with existing UI system
UX focus
Reduce “blank screen” feeling
Improve onboarding clarity
Make state transitions more intuitive and engaging
