Not sure if this is possible to do, atleast not with a simple API call. I probably will not spend time on this, but I am open for adding support if someone figures out a simple enough solution.

But isn't the menubar over blurred by default?

yeah the menu bar already has blur applied to it. Maybe the OP wants to also have a light or dark color tint to it, like it was in previous macos versions.
