gerber update to v1.5?

hi is it possible to update the gerber to v1.5? i tried opening up the pcb file in kicad and generating plots and such then zipping up the gerbers generated but on pcbway i can't see the traces, never used these kinds of software before so i don't know what I'm doing lol, first time trying to diy an ergo keyboard, thanks.
