• While we’ve been regularly participating in GSoC, Learning Equality is unable to know whether we'll be accepted as a mentoring organization until Google makes the official announcement each year. For any and all information regarding mentoring organizations, please keep an eye on the GSoC website.

• Candidates are selected based on the quality of their proposal, not the number of prior pull requests. Contributing to our codebase is a great way to gain experience and get to know our community. When no 'help wanted' issues are available, spending time studying the codebase relevant to your project is extremely valuable. Following our guidelines strengthen your proposal, while competing for issues or sending excessive messages may have the opposite effect.
