Unable to run compiled mod on MACOS

Hi, I have been working on a mod with this template, it works great for Windows, but when I try to load the mod with Forge 1.8.9 for MACOS, it get the following error:

[Client thread/WARN] [FML]: Zip file super-duper-fishstick-2.0.3.jar failed to read properly, it will be ignored

I have also tried compiling the mod from my MACOS machine to check if there were some changes, but its the exact same.

I don't think so, how would I do that?

I tried running the remapJar gradle command but it didn't change anything sadly, both being compiled from Mac with IntelliJ or from my Windows machine.

Got the exact same error
