For topics with high data volume, sometimes the average partition size will get too big and cause performance issues. It will be nice to have a mechanism to detect large partition size and automatically increase partition count to reduce the average partition size. This could be implemented using anomaly detector and self healing goal.

Making this functionality "automatic" is risky as increasing the partition count could potentially destroy within key ordering guarantees. So this would need to careful approval and/or notifications attached to any automation.
