Given that Adwaita has been recently faced off in recent versions, the current version of adwaita-icon-theme as it stands is 46.0-1, which do not include high definition emblems. Mint-y-icons depends on these emblems as it inherits them according to its index. For example, when zoomed in, these emblems on mint-y-icons just doesn’t look right anymore as seen in the following image:
A problem that did not occur before, nor that still doesn’t occur in LMDE 6 since the Debian repo still supports adwaita-icon-theme v. 43-1, which has all these high definition emblems included. My suggestion would be to somehow incorporate these emblems into the mint-y-icons, so that it doesn’t have to depend on Adwaita, or just making them dependable on another icon suite all-entirely.
PS.:After some tweaking, and downgrading adwaita-icon-theme to 43-1 in the latest Linux Mint Wilma, I manage to look it like this:
Good day,
Esteban
