WWW root is /webtrees

As we are running a webserver direct here, why is the www root required to be under /webtrees.

I've tried pulling this into my coreos docker images, in combination with nginx-proxy, and therefore I can attribute my own subdomain directly to the running instance. It's a bit of a pain to run as

webtrees.domain.com/webtrees/
instead of
webtrees.domain.com

Could we move the html root to /var/www/html/webtrees, or move the app to /var/www/html/ please?
