I am relatively new to Ubuntu. After my wifi not performing well I gave this a try based on some research. Followed the instructions in the readme and installed rtw89 successfully. Now it seems something is taking up a lot of CPU because the machine is running hot and everything is slow or unresponsive. 'sudo make uninstall' takes forever and has not finished.. Please help :)

Likely the same issue as in #337 , see discussion there.
Trying to uninstall with sudo will always hang. Switch to root with su (if that works) or boot into a root shell with a recovery mode on your kernel and make uninstall from there.
