Improve discoverability of setting to always show details

My experience with the updated site has been that I always have to click the Details button on every port page, because the information I'm after is not shown on the simple page. It would be nice to have a preference that can be set to always go straight to the details page.

This functionality already exists: there is a "Make default" link above the port health.

Should the link be renamed, redesigned, or be settable elsewhere?

Ah, so that's what that does. Yes, something needs to change there, as there is no indication whatsoever of what that link will do when you click it. My expectation was that it would make the specific port on that page "default" in some way (though I didn't know what that would mean). It's surprising that something on the page for a specific port toggles a global setting.
