What specific section or headline is this issue about?

https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/HTML/Element/progress#try_it

What information was incorrect, unhelpful, or incomplete?

The inner text (e.g., "70%") in the examples is meaningless because it does not render or otherwise show to the user, so why is it there? It makes the reader think there is some value to having inner text.

If there is some way for inner text/HTML to be useful in the render, then it should be explained. Otherwise, the examples are misleading.

What did you expect to see?

No inner text in the examples.

Do you have any supporting links, references, or citations?

No response

Do you have anything more you want to share?

No response

See https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/HTML/Element/progress#labelling:

Text placed between the element's tags is not an accessible label, it is only recommended as a fallback for old browsers that do not support this element.
