Objective: Launch Jan as a discoverable, installable app on major platforms to improve accessibility and trust.

Focus: Meet store guidelines and infrastructure.

Deliverables 1

  • App Store Requirements

    • Apple App Store:
      • Sandboxing compliance (macOS).
      • Privacy manifest (iOS).
    • Google Play:
      • Target API level ≥ 33 (Android 13+).
      • Data safety form submission.
    • Microsoft Store:
      • MSIX packaging (Windows).
  • Legal/Policy

    • Terms of Service & Privacy Policy updates.
    • Trademark verification (e.g., "Jan" name availability).
  • Backend

    • Signed builds (e.g., Apple Notarization, Android App Bundle).
    • Analytics integration (store-compatible, e.g., Firebase).

Deliverables 2

  • Listing Assets

    • App icons (1024x1024, adaptive).
    • Screenshots + demo video (all device sizes).
    • Localized metadata (EN, ES, JA, etc.).
  • SEO & Keywords

    • Keyword optimization ("AI assistant", "local LLM", etc.).
    • Competitor gap analysis (e.g., vs. "Ollama").
  • Pricing Model

    • Free tier (feature-limited).
    • Subscription/IAP setup (if applicable).

Launch & Growth

Focus: Drive adoption and iterate.

  • Staged Rollout

    • Beta channels (TestFlight, Google Play Beta).
    • Geo-limited launch (monitor crashes/reviews).
  • Post-Launch

    • ASO (App Store Optimization) tweaks.
