There are further patches helping to build amap-align with more modern gcc available in Debian packaging Git.

There is a way to get version 2.5 with the patch of the GCC ? I would like to compile by myself on a Ubuntu machine

Version 2.5??? May be first issue #2 should be fixed to know what version number upstream is using. In any case you can try to build the latest Debian package on your Ubuntu machine.
