Internal Server Error while installing the shibboleth plugin

While trying to activate the shibboleth plugin from the admin section redirecting to the "Internal Server Error" Page. And not able to see the website at all. And able to find the below mentioned lines added in the .htaccess page.

Make sure that the directory has the appropriate overrides granted by the server configuration
