Values for Steel as a Rough conductor material (roughconductor) #1591
-
Hi, any clues how to get some reasonable values for polished steel? Tried an LLM for realistic values, rather unsuccessful. Best, Felix |

Hi @roflmaostc For unconventional materials, I've used https://refractiveindex.info/, they have spectral measurements and both the real and imaginary components. It looks like they have stainless steel. As for the roughness, I feel like it really depends on what type of polished look you're going for - you can most likely just do a grid search. |
