Interested. My setup: I'm abandoning WLED for 5 lights because of wifi congestion. I have a mix of sp110e and sp107 with a dedicated Bluetooth proxy node.. |

I believe you and I have the exact same issue. My SP611E controller was packaged with 2 black LED bars instead of strips. Got a small pile of other controllers that I haven't touched in a while. V2 release is gonna have me wrapping my whole house in LEDs 😅 |

Uniled v2 is now ready for beta testing. To test either use the HACS beta method mentioned below, otherwise please manually download the v2 repo from here https://github.com/monty68/uniled/tree/dev_v2. Then the code will also need to be manually installed into Home Assistant:

SP630E controller is now unavailable in the BanlanX app after connecting to Homeassistant. No necessarily a bug but something I came across while playing around. |

The SP630E (and all of the SP range) only supports a single connection, so if it is managed by HA, you cannot access it via the app. Not all effects support effect length and effect direction commands so will show as unavailable. |

Yeap, if HA doesn't connect to your led, it could be your phone has already connected to it. |

That is useful to know. I assumed that HA would drop the connection unless in use like the BanlanX app does which allows multiple phones to control the SP devices (not at the same time of course). I do understand how this would cause issues for HA with devices becoming unavailable and all. Tbh, most of the functionality is already in HA. I just have to tech my wife how to use it (LoL). |

Unfortunately the Home slide app is not working on our Pixel 8 Pros. Weirdly it seems to be available for my Galaxy watch 5Pro. Also, the remote that came with the SP630E still works just fine. Probably because it works over RF or something. |

I successfully added SP110E with v2. (v1 detect it as 107 and fail to add). I got notification about new device, click to configure and first time it got added but show initialization error in the intergation page. After I ckick "restart" in integration menu everything start working. Log with those two "actions": P.S. Thank you very much for this intergation! |

Quick question: I saw one of the SP110E devices got a I actually prefer having more specific names like this but I can't see how to automatically do the same for the other SP110E. Is this intended behaviour? |

This isn't normal behavior in code HA replaces the unique_id (which happens to be the MAC address) with something more meaningful (for most users). I think this may have been caused when I was still ratifying the naming conventions. |

I am testing it now. We just placed several of the SP620E around the house. The downside from my end is I am also just now setting up my esphome devices for ble tracking and trying to learn that as well. |

These are disabled by default as most users do not use them often, if at all. Simply go into each entity through the UI and enable them......

I am super excited about the development of this. I just hope these controllers dont use too much power consumption. I created a 3d printed cube, much like the aqara magic cube, just a lot bigger, and will put these leds inside if the power consumption doesn't drain the 8x 18650 batteries inside too fast. I can't wait to play around with this. I tried zigbee, but zigbee led devices use 0.5-1w of power because of being repeaters and receivers. That means that during 24 hours of standby, two of the batteries are already depleted. Will let you know tommorow how it worked out. Even if i have to return it due to too much power consumption. |

Fantastic project, one thing that could drain batteries using these devices, is the frequency in which HA polls them for status information, uniled currently is every 30 seconds. But I am working on a change to allow this to be configurable. Extending the time will make the UI feel less responsive but help save battery power |

So i tested it today, and have to give compliments for the incredible ease of use. I added your repo, installed it by hacs and boom, it found the device when configuring and worked immediately out of the box. I never used a bluetooth device on my HAOS PC before so expected some messing around but no, super easy to use. (build in bluetooth device on a intel pc) Unfortunately i am going to send it back though, because it's power consumption is off the charts, even in standby. On the other hand i personally also got lucky, as the zigbee device, even though it is a repeater, uses a LOT less power then expected. So i will use that for the cube project i am making. With the USB power meter i got today, the rf controlled strip uses 0.032w in standby. |

I am looking for beta testers for the next major release of UniLED.
This is almost a complete rewrite of code, so it needs as many testers across a wide range of devices.
You will need to be able to manually download from the development repo and install into HA.
The code should be ready for testing in the next few days.
