Undoing the changes made to the NC1

How do you undo the changes made during the uploading of dev_options.dat? Are the old settings backed up anywhere by the script (or was I supposed to do that on my own before messing with the NC1?)

If I'm correct the .dev_options.dat file (note the dot) is empty by default. So upload an empty file and you're done.

I made an empty .dev_options.dat file in the memoto folder and tried to upload it via the sudo python memoto.py upload .dev_options.dat but then I get the following errors:

Found (ethernet-accessible) Memoto device
You don't need to use this script anymore. Connect through it via ethernet now!

But I've never been able to telnet into the device...

When I run the sudo ifconfig usb0 192.168.2.10 netmask 255.255.255.0 broadcast 192.168.2.255 command I get the following errors:

SIOCSIFADDR: No such device
usb0: Error while getting interface flags: No such device
SIOCSINETMASK: No such device
SIOCSIFBRADDR: No such device
usb0: ERROR while getting interface flags: No such device

If I check ifconfig I get the following devices, I'm not sure which one is the right one (or if any are)

Then you'll first need to learn how to telnet to it. The ether MAC address of your second interface enp0s11u1 looks generated (e6:11:22:33:44:55) so that would be my first try.

sudo ifconfig enp0s11u1 192.168.2.10 netmask 255.255.255.0 broadcast 192.168.2.255
telnet 192.168.2.2

The USB device is the one with vendor id 0x525 and product id 0xa4a1. I guess if the above doesn't work you'll have to check if usbnet is enabled and start learning about your OS, not much else I can do to help you then! :-)
