6x32 Trigger Sequencer Gate button doesn't seem to do anything.

Hi,
Love this sequencer and use it very frequently. I may not understand the purpose of the Gate button on each row, but I assumed it would change the trigger output to be a gate instead. Pressing it seems to do nothing to trigger or gate length.

So this is either an issue or I'm not understanding its purpose.
