The automatic-transcription technology is probably at a place where it's cheap enough for us to self-host and accurate enough to edit, summarize and clarify information reliably.

This would require setting up our own Jitsi instance. That would in turn require more work from someone on the infra team to figure out where to deploy it: NixOS/infra#404
We may want to re-triage this in the next backlog grooming to assess whether this is worth the effort. We're using written notes somewhat efficiently already, so maybe I overestimated the benefits of having transcriptions and underestimated the effort of fixing them up for clarity.
