When selecting Noto Sans Thai Looped in Illustrator, the separate weights appear along with an option for the variable font. If you select anything except the variable font option, it stays in Regular weight no matter what.
Example:
Select Thin weight. It will stay Regular.
Select Black weight. It will stay Regular.
If you select the variable font and then change to another weight, it will switch over to the separate weight selection and then again remain Regular.
I have checked and double checked my fonts installed. This is literally the only Noto Sans Thai Looped font on my computer.
The only way to get the weight to change is to choose the variable font and then use the sliders to change the weight:
I highly doubt this is an Adobe problem since all other Noto fonts work just fine.

Notice on the right that only one says variable. The rest are separated for some reason.
