Describe the bug

The code snippets inside the Introduction documentation are not shown correctly. I attach two images for a better understanding

To refine the issue: the output blocks in the documentation are covered in terminal escape codes.
These sequences are meant to show a coloured output in a terminal, but their bare form impedes readability.
