Passing Local Context to MCP Server Tools

I am building an Slack Bot AI agent which will fetch username from Slack directly and pass it as a mandatory input for MCP Server tools. It seems like the current context management only supports for Agent Tools, is there any example for MCP Server Tools ?

Passing a context data to MCP servers are not supported, and we don't have immediate plans to enhance for this use case. If you're using mcp_servers, managing the MCP server connections outside an Agent and having wrapper function tools to use the MCP servers should work as a work around (this means you need to convert the context data into the arguments for an MCP server tool call). I know this is not an ideal answer for you, but I hope this helps.

What if the agent context contains user data etc.? Is there no way to ensure htis data is properly used in the mcp calls?
Or do we need to give the AI access to this data via tool calling and explain how it should use the data in mcp calls it makes?

no @adiberk , we can't let the AI to fill in the data as input of tool calling, others can attempt prompt injection to override the data.
