In the 2.2.0 release, the Container field in InternalCodeInterpreterTool is presently handled as a BinaryData which makes it brittle to use. It should probably be mapped to CodeInterpreterToolDefinition.

Hi @gaspardpetit. Thanks for reaching out and sharing your insights. This one is interesting, as I don't think CodeInterpreterToolDefinition is the right mapping for Container. Name aside, its current shape just exposes any base class members, of which there are none.

Based on the OpenAI docs and the definition in the current REST API spec (below), this should be some kind of Container object. This scenario is a challenge because it is defined as a union in the spec - it could be either a simple string or a CodeInterpreterToolAuto.

Since .NET lacks support for union types and the code generator cannot emit an overload for this scenario, it falls back to BinaryData until we're able to analyze and come to an agreement on a custom type appropriate for the scenario. As we continue to iterate and evolve the experimental surface, this will grow up into a strongly-typed model.
