The standard process requires an email for Eden and Omar to track who's maintaining which language.

Transifex requests are seldom reviewed, and often don't provide a way to contact the requester of the new language.

Some language have unintiuitive language codes such as de_DE vs de for all German locales.

The current guide doesn't address those issues and leaves issues stale such this one for Serbian: https://discuss.openedx.org/t/serbian-translations-requested/16890

Hi @OmarIthawi and thanks for this report! I would be happy to make edits to this page for you, but I don't think there's enough detail here for me to make the edits. Do you think you could provide more detail, or make the edits?

@OmarIthawi I came back to this and realized I think I could make the main edit (change to emailing oscm for new language changes) but the page still needs a full review so I'll leave this ticket open.
