🚨 Project Maintenance Notice

Hello everyone,
We’re entering a brief maintenance phase to clean up the project structure and ensure consistency across all components. Please read the following carefully if you're planning to contribute.

The website has become cluttered, with inconsistent design across pages. There is a lot of code repetition, overlapping efforts, and a lack of communication. This has led to confusion and quality issues.

To resolve this, we are temporarily pausing new development and focusing on stabilizing what’s already built. Here’s how we’re proceeding:

1. Branch Restructure

We are introducing two main branches:

• main - for production/stable code only!
• master - for testing, experimentation, and ongoing work.

Both branches will be deployed and viewable via Github Pages

2. Protected Main Branch

• Only stable, well documented pages will be live on the main branch.
• No one will be allowed to push directly to main.
• All PRs should target the master branch.
• Reviewers will have 72 hours to approve or suggest changes.
• PRs that fail checks will not be merged into main.

3. Cleanup Process

• All unfinished or inconsistent work will be moved to master branch.
• We will gradually refactor and fix one file at a time.
• Once a file is fixed and tested, it will be merged into the main branch.
• No contributor's work will go waste! we appreciate everyone's efforts, and changes will build upon what's already done.
• All href issues will be no longer be entertained. Please raise meaningful issues!

4. Guidelines for Raising Issues

To ensure quality moving forward:

• For UI/UX contributions:
  • You must include a design (Figma link, image, or wireframe) when raising an issue.
  • Issues without visual references will not be accepted.
• For Backend contributions:
  • You must share a brief execution plan: what you intend to build, how it works, and why it's needed.
  • Vague issues will be closed without review.
• All PRs which do not mention an issue will be closed without review.

These changes are effective as of 30/07/2025 and will remain until further notice.
