Warning Qt QPainter::setPen Painter not active error

Describe the bug
Uninstalled a previous version, installed this latest version 5.0.0
I deleted the old config file.

It keeps freaking out at random times about I think some Python GUI library thing?

Warning Qt QPainter::setPen Painter not active error

I only have the "plover python dictionaries" plugin enabled, and 2 theory files (my own heavily tweaked Lapwing, and Jeff-phrasing).

To Reproduce
I don't know what triggers this. Can be quiet for a long time and then throw several of these popup errors in a row.

@bioluminesceme in case you didn't try that yet: close Plover, delete/rename the plugins folder inside your config folder, and reinstall your plugins. Sometimes that folder contains some old stuff that can cause errors.

If that doesn't help, can you copy the relevant parts of the plover.log when this error happens?

This error seems to be caused when any plugin is installed. I renamed the plugins folder and it didn't change.

This is repeated many times and seems to be caused randomly.

Just to make sure, regarding this sentence:

This error seems to be caused when any plugin is installed.

You probably mean that the error also happens when no plugin is installed? That would match the rest of your description.

Sadly it's not much information to pin-point the issue. You could try starting Plover in debug mode to see if there's additional log entries.
