Posted at 2019-02-18 by @gfwilliams Hi, Are you the developer of Smartibot, or are you using their device? If you have any issues with their IDE please contact them - Espruino is open so other companies can obviously just copy everything and rebrand it, but if they do that then they should support their own users. For Espruino itself there's a getting started page at http://www.espruino.com/Quick+Start+BLE#requirements that suggests some BLE dongles that work just fine. I personally develop everything on Linux so I know it works fine. |

Posted at 2019-02-18 by @gfwilliams Ok, great! I'm not up to speed on OpenSuse versions, but ideally you'd have a reasonably new release so you don't have to mess about trying to update the |

Posted at 2019-02-20 by @gfwilliams Great news! Thanks for letting me know! Do you have a link to your Logilink adaptor so I can add something to the readme mentioning that it might not work? |

Posted at 2019-02-21 by @gfwilliams That's really interesting. I'm using exactly the same chipset (CSR8510 A10) with the same vendor/product ID under Linux and it works great. Maybe your adaptor is actually faulty? |

I started 2 years ago with a Logilink Adapter and was not happy. Now I have a new project based on SmartiBot and the Espruino Web IDE for Smartibot.
https://thecraftyrobot.net/smartibot_ide/
But even this is still not working. May be my used Logilink adapter is not suited?
Anyone working with the Web IDE under Linux, may be OpenSuse Tumbleweed? And can recommend a Bluetooth USB Adapter.
Regards
Heinz
