From stuck updating apps at 99% to unable to connect to BLE

Went to update my Bangle JS 2 apps as you do and the first update, Health Tracking app got stuck at 99% updating. Removed Health Tracking and reinstalled, still stuck at 99%. Tried to update another app, stuck at 99%.

Ok backup all data and factory reset. Now bluetooth wont connect in Bangle JS app loader Espruino IDE. Is this thing bricked now?

Firmware was lastest v2v25. May have reverted after factory reset.

I was able to get the bluetooth working again. (Maybe) by pinching to top right of the watch? Had to remove the device from Windows 10 bluetooth and pair it again as well.

Still stuck on updating apps at 99%.

Hi - sorry to hear this - so you're using https://banglejs.com/apps/ from Windows to connect?

I did make some changes recently to the way we connect and upload apps and that could be causing issues. Please can you open the Chrome developer console, try and update, and then copy/paste the contents of the log? It might help to figure out what's going on.

This is almost certainly your Bluetooth issue. Normally in Windows you shouldn't pair in the OS (just connecting from Chrome/Edge is enough) - but if you're paired then long-pressing the button to enter the factory reset menu would have cleared out pairing info from the Bangle which would have then made Windows not want to automatically connect

Hey thanks for the reply Gordon. I haven't had a chance yet but I will check the browser console and follow up with what I find.

I'll see if it will connect unpaired in windows 10 as well.

I've just had someone else with a similar-ish issue and I wonder whether in there case the Bangle had run out of flash memory. Maybe go to More... and scroll down and see if your memory is full.

If that's the case I've put a note down to get a proper error message shown next week

Following up with good news. Whatever it was seems to have resolved itself without me doing anything.

I removed the bangle js2 from windows 10 bluetooth. Connected to bangle js app loader and health tracking installed 100% without issue this time. Proceeded to update the rest of my apps and those all went successfully as well. Backing up again and it looks like I'm back in business.
