gdalwarp inflates AVIRIS file size

Hello! Thanks for this tutorial. I've been trying to perform this on AVIRIS data, and the rotation correction using gdalwarp does work for me, however, the file size becomes excessively large. An input file of 10gb turns into a 40 gb file somehow which makes subsequent processing/analysis of the AVIRIS lines unnecessarily long. I've been keeping the ENVI format for the output (ENVI in, ENVI out). I'm just interested in performing the rotation correction.
