I am interested in setting up virtual machines using Linux kernels that I have compiled myself and running them with PANDA. Could you please let me know if this is supported and, if so, how I can achieve it?

It is supported. It's generally the same process as within QEMU. Do you have a question about the plugins or using it with Python?
