In order to change the mapping for the Fn
key, you need to follow these steps:
- Unplug keyboard.
- Flip DIP 4 to "on" (on the back of the keyboard's base).
- Plug the keyboard back in (careful, mistakes here usually require you to reset your layer, losing all that stuff you did before).
- First press
Fn
. Then pressLeft_Ctrl
(thatLeft_Ctrl
key is now bound toFn
). - Now press
Pn
. Then pressPn
again, assuming you don't want to move it. If you want to move it, then press that key instead. - Now flip DIP 4 back to "off".
Notes:
- Once you've flipped DIP 4, you must bind both
Fn
andPn
or else you can end up with one of them completely unbound which will require a reset of ALL layers. - Once you move your
Fn
toLeft_Ctrl
, your "real"Fn
key will automatically function as a Win key. In the case that you move yourPn
key, it gets replaced by anApp
key. Right_Ctrl
can't be changed toFN
orPN
.
