2026 contributing / first issues

Hello! I've looked into the current state of the repo and am interested in trying to learn to contribute, specifically, #456 as a starting point for a first issue, if someone is not already tackling this.

I've begun to set up some things for development but would be interested to know if you have further private resources for getting started as a developer here / an active Discord for discussion. I have a background in Python, but working with ROMs would be new to me. I am quite interested in randomizers/ rando development though and would like the opportunity to try to learn.
