Currently there is no wiki documentation surrounding osu!'s bundled maps. Sourcing how all of this has worked historically, and how it functions right now into one article would be beneficial.

Should Include:

  • What bundled maps are
  • How mapsets have been selected for bundling historically
  • Older bundled maps
  • Current bundled maps

Might Include:

  • How the addition of Featured Artists has changed bundling
  • and anything else which might fit here

Not sure if there is a regular schedule for when one rotation of bundled maps get swapped out for a new one (Bi-weekly? On a particular day/date each month?), but if so that should probably be included.

Additionally, it would be helpful to make obvious why those spreads are chosen. Featured Artists are obviously licensed, so it makes sense to promote them first and foremost. The reason why spreads containing Easy diffs are chosen is to make them, and by extension, the game as accessible as possible to new people who just downloaded osu!

as an aside, we plan on adding a filter to the beatmaps search to see all bundled beatmaps in the near future.

I'd be up for writing this myself, but would appreciate having someone to talk to who knows more about this topic than me. Anyone I can go to for questions as they come up?

Other things are higher priority at the moment. come back to this at a later point
