2025.220.0 randomly freezes up

Since the new update the game randomly started freezing up in various menus - it happened to me:

• when entering song select from main menu
• multiple times in multiplayer lobby (at least once when entering song select from multi lobby)

It's difficult to diagnose, since I couldn't find a way to reproduce it consistently.

Note how you can still hear my cursor moving over items on the song select screen while the image is frozen.

Here's another example of of freezing happening for another user - consistently freezing for 20-40 seconds in the editor when saving a beatmap with Ctrl+S as well as when exiting. I couldn't reproduce the issue myself. Quoting:

it just freeze when whenever i press ctrl+s save in editor, also freeze when exit
(...)
and it only happens whenever i'm logged in, no more after sign out
(...)
idk what caused all of this, i can replicate it on every map

Happening here too since updating this morning. Spamming f1 and f2 is sort of consistent
EDIT: Spamming f1 only works too

It seems to only happen on SDL3 (can't reproduce with OSU_SDL3=0)

Arch linux with proprietary nvidia drivers

Also happens for me (I once thought it's my own computer issue), kubuntu 24.10, nvidia, wayland. Seems happening by clicking random things. I can force defocus the game by windows key and the freeze will (temporarily) disappear, but then it will randomly happen again.
