you can use quarto to produce the required latex files: https://quarto.org/docs/output-formats/pdf-basics.html#latex-output |

Quarto comes with a special project type precisely when wanting to target a journal, this project is "manuscript".
As far as I know Quarto documents either as plain text or Jupyter notebooks are not yet accepted by journals. There might be some, but don't know them.
Not sure to understand what "its" refers to here.

Description
Hi everyone,
I used the format model of (elsevier/template.qmd) for this journal "Insurance: Mathematics and Economics", but when reading the guide for authors :
Writing and formatting
File format
We ask you to provide editable source files for your entire submission (including figures, tables and text graphics). Some guidelines:
Save files in an editable format, using the extension .doc/.docx for Word files and .tex for LaTeX files. A PDF is not an acceptable source file.
Format Word files in a single-column layout. Double-column formatting is only permitted for LaTeX submissions.
My question is: why don't they state that it can be used with .qmd files?
I'm writing, but I'am also feeling a fear of rejection.
Is there any license that allows its use by the Journals of Elsevier or other publishers (American Statistical Association Journals, ...)?
Thanks advanced
