I have been trying to make use of cloud-init and have re-imaged the sd card a few times (because the cloud-init docs are so terrible) . I noticed that config files e.g. user-data are not being overwritten and my backups are not being deleted so I'm unable to start with a completely fresh image. Is this by design? I had assumed the imager would reformat the card and the warning message to tell you the media will be wiped certainly implies that is the case.
